For nearly 20 years, the American Biographical
Institute has highlighted the outstanding
accomplishments of women around the world. One of
the ways that is done—perhaps the most prestigious
way—is through the Woman of the Year
accolade. The Institute’s International Board of
Research decides on nominations through its global
efforts to research accomplished individuals. Many
times the Board comes across an interesting and
distinguished woman through correspondence with
universities, businesses, publications, and
organizations around the globe.
The rare honor of Woman of the Year carries
with it a long history of respect. As such, the
editors of the American Biographical Institute have
dedicated an entire limited edition volume to these
celebrated women. The book itself will be bound in a
luxurious ebony hard cover with gold engravings.
Placed on the first page of the book will be a
distinctive bookplate indicating the book’s
collector status. A calligrapher will artfully hand
letter the biographee’s name, as well as a number
indicating the limited printing of the edition.
